When my father built our childhood home, he began with blueprints—but he and my mother made changes that turned a house into a safe place for our family. James 4:6–10 offers a similar blueprint for our spiritual lives. God’s design may take more time and surrender than we expect, but He is building a home where we can live securely with Him.
