Kintsugi Grace: When Brokenness Becomes Beauty
August 4, 2026
When my grandmother’s china dish shattered on the kitchen floor, she stepped between me and the shards with gentle love. That memory—and the Japanese art of Kintsugi—reminds me that God never discards what is broken. He gathers the pieces, fills the cracks with grace, and restores beauty where we least expect it. Romans 9:1–5 shows Paul carrying his people with a similar tenderness, holding both heartache and hope in the presence of God.
