He Hears Our Prayers

This is a guest post by one of our S.U.R.G.E. members, Cadence Bishop.

God and Jesus hear our prayers

And remind us: someone cares.

Through every struggle, every fear

We know that they are always here.

When life gets hard and days get tough

Their love for us is more than enough.

They guide our hearts and help us stand,

And lead us with a gentle hand.

Sometimes we feel lost inside;

With nowhere left for us to hide.

But God gives us hope when nights are long

And Jesus helps us to stay strong.

When tears fall down and skies turn gray.

They light the path and show the way.

They fill our hearts with peace and grace:

No matter the time or any place.

Even when we make mistakes,

Their love for us will never break.

They forgive us and help us grow,

More than we could ever know.

The Bible teaches us to care,

To love and hope and always share;

To treat each person right and fair,

Because God’s love is everywhere.

Jesus gave His life one day,

So all our sins could fade away.

He showed the world how love should be,

By caring for humanity.

When we are weak, He gives us strength,

And walks beside us every length.

Through every mountain, every sea;

He stays with you and stays with me.

No matter where we go or roam,

Heaven will always be our home;

A place of joy, a place of light;

Where everything will feel so right.

And when our time on earth is through

God’s open arms will welcome you,

With angels singing from above;

We’ll live forever in his love.

So every day, both near and far,

Remember just how loved you are.

With God above and Jesus, too

There is always a place waiting for me and you.
